Kenny and Joanne Knutson originally bought the building in 1965. Kenny’s Original building was relocated across the street from the Austin High School to make space for the Austin High School expansion. This forced the move across the street for a newer and larger Kenny’s Oak Grill currently in business today.  Kennys is one of the oldest original successful family run restaurant owners in Austin, Mn.  Kim Mohrfeld is their oldest daughter who has faithfully worked at the restaurant since 1976. Tony has been involved on and off since 1979 building and caring for the computers and website. We owe much Thanks to all of our patrons who keep the business alive and thriving.

     We have been blessed with some of the best employees, some that have worked with us for many many years. For example David Marshall has been with us since 1982, Joan Kunze since 1973,Jane Farnsworth since 1986, Barb Erstad since 1993, Lori Scott since 1984. And all the rest of the crew currently with us that make the business what it is today and on into the future.
